Everything we've built, every product, every store, every partnership traces back to a single conviction: the cannabis industry has a debt to pay. We were founded by civil rights attorneys who spent their careers fighting for the wrongly convicted. That same instinct for accountability is ingrained in our roots today.
OUR START
In 2014, civil rights attorneys in Chicago, Illinois, founded Justice Grown out of a desire to bring great quality cannabis products into the everyday, for everyone.
Our founders have spent their careers fighting for the rights of the wrongly convicted. The work of their civil rights law firm, Loevy & Loevy aptly represents the values of our cannabis company.
The concept was simple: Cannabis made good, that does good, to make you feel good.
OUR STORY
Justice Grown is a cannabis company built on a simple belief: that the industry has an obligation to repair the harm caused by the war on drugs. That conviction is woven into everything we do, from our cultivation and manufacturing facilities to how we show up in the communities where we open doors.
We are privately held and rooted in civil rights. Our name is not incidental. Neither is our logo, which draws from Themis, the Greek goddess of justice, and the scales she holds: a symbol of balance, accountability, and the fair measure we hold ourselves to every day. Our team is intentionally diverse, because a company rooted in justice has to reflect that value from the inside out.
Justice Grown operates nearly 20 retail locations across Illinois, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Michigan under the Bloc Dispensary, Bloc Pharmacy, and Justice Grown retail brands.
